Being a software developer helps with many things. First and foremost I have grand plans at automating my production setup (which I haven’t got yet, but eventually will).
While everyone is still asleep I’m spending my sunny Sunday morning writing a simple ERP (enterprise resource planning) system to manage suppliers, stock, berries, honey, and other related things.
The general mantra says not to reinvent the wheel, especially since there are literally thousands of ERP systems, some of which are free for small businesses, but… “Yeah, well… I’m gonna go build my own theme park, with blackjack and hookers”.
I’m still waiting for my license and for the summer season to start so I can get my hands of fresh honey and berries. Besides I can do all kinds of crazy integrations, graphs, and exports. How about a police siren when the stock is below a specific value?
Have a great Sunday!
